Unions and employers will always have their own vested interests to pursue. The union has a Duty of Representation to its members and the Employer has a duty to its owners.
Quite often these interests simply do not naturally converge. Our mediation services exist to help facilitate the matter that requires resolution between the parties. This could be during the life of the collective agreement through the grievance procedure of at the need of the collective bargaining process to help shepherd a renewed collective agreement.
This process is independent of your statutory obligations but is intended to use our intensive labour relations experience to quickly identify the issues and work with the parties to bring about a mutually satisfactory solution.
